Rudder Propeller

The Veth-Z-Drives are very compact due to the integration of transmission, clutch and steering wheels into one system. Up to an input power of 550 kW a worm gear is used for steering. For drive power exceeding 550 kW a slewing gear is used. Large transmissions ensure extremely accurate steering.

Easy installation is an advantage of the Veth-Z-Drive. It can be mounted and dismounted outside a dry dock, depending on the vessel’s draught. The Veth-Z-Drives are custom-made with a foundation adapted to the hull’s construction.
